Map Editor (WME)

The Waze Map Editor (WME) is the online tool used to edit the Waze map. It is accessible to all users with a Waze account at waze.com/editor.

Access and editing rights

By driving with the Waze app, you accumulate temporary editing rights (valid for 90 days) over the areas you travel through. These rights determine where you can edit the map.

Editing rights expand progressively based on your editor level.

Waze servers

Waze operates on three separate servers. Switzerland is on the ROW server.

Important

When in doubt, never edit the map based on the rules of a neighbouring country. Ask your question on the local forum.

The WME offers a permalink feature that lets you share a precise location on the map. Very useful for asking for help on the forum or Discord.

To obtain it: position the map over the desired area, then click the 🔗 button (the 3rd circle from the top, on the right of the editor)
