Introduction
Taking inspiration from the volunteer map editors of the community of Waze Portugal, who mapped the city of Lisbon with PRM parking in 2018. We wish to also improve the way people can find accessible parking in Switzerland and make our cities more inclusive.
The work started in 2020 in Geneva, for which all ~550+ PRM Parking locations were mapped by volunteer editors vince1612, ... and ... . With the help and support of the Département du Territoire (DT) and the Fondation des Parkings, who provided us with lists and databases on known locations.

Development
Hopefully more locations will be supported in the future, but this only depends on volunteer work. Current editors are few and already typically maintain the map for road closures, roadworks and changes on their free time, Waze does not employ any paid editors.

Prenant inspiration chez les éditeurs de cartes bénévoles de la communauté de Waze Portugal, qui ont cartographié la ville de Lisbonne avec les stationnements PMR en 2018. Nous souhaitions également améliorer la façon dont les gens peuvent trouver des parkings accessibles en Suisse et rendre nos villes plus inclusives.
