Cafés & Meetups
The Swiss Waze community meets regularly at local and regional events, in two main formats: Waze Cafés and Local Meetups.
Waze Cafés
Waze Cafés are small, informal events (10-15 participants) organized by the local community. Editors from the region gather to collaborate on editing or community-life topics, share best practices, and meet outside the online forums.
Waze Café Romandie: organized by the French-speaking community. The last gathering took place in October 2025 in Geneva. The next 2026 edition is being planned; the date and location are still to be determined.
Note
There is not yet an equivalent initiative on the German-speaking or Ticino side. Feel free to propose one via Discord or the forum.
Waze Local Meetups
Waze Local Meetups are annual two-day events (about 8 hours of program) that bring together new and experienced members around the major community topics: editing, tools, governance, and exchanges between regions.
D-A-CH Local Meetups
D-A-CH Local Meetups are joint regional gatherings bringing together the communities of Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
